"I would like to bring my friend (girl) along"
He hesitated and rejected her.
"You better hang out with your friend"
As she felt deceived, she sulked.
He felt bad and tried to confront her.
"Let me accompany you tonight, you wanna eat cake right?"
She desperately wanted to meet him, to go out with him, to DATE him.
She missed him, and she wanted to spend her re time with him before she take off to Uni
She was craving for cakes, she nagged.
He was unwell. His whole body ached especially his muscles as he went to badminton tournament with his coworker, a day before their date.
"Where are we going tonight?"
He texted her.
"IDK. You decide"
She replied bluntly.
Lastly, they agreed to have their dinner at a cafe, near his home.
As usual, the girl arrived first. She called him and confirmed that she came.
She entered the cafe, alone, sit herself outdoor cause she knows, he would sit outdoor to vape.
A few minutes later, he showed up wearing his sweater even though it was sweltry. He said he wanted himself to sweat.
A waitress came, distributed two menus that contain various of western cuisines and sweet desserts.
Scrolling the menu, she was shocked as she saw the prices. Expensive.
She became blank, clueless on what to eat and asked for his recommendation.
They had a little argument. Lastly, the couple went indoor to see the available cake slices.
"What do you want?", he asked.
"What do you prefer?", she asked.
"Okay. This one", he pointed to the blueberry cheesecake.
She just nodded and they went to their seat.
"Did you father tell you anything about me?", he asked her while they were enjoying their food.
"What?", she felt curious. He took a spoon of his brownies and slowly bring it to her mouth.
While she was calling up, he grabbed a spoon of her cake, and eat it.
"He texted me it's been a while I haven't pay a visit at your workplace. He said that you missed me", he smiled sinically.
"I told him I'm quite busy with work", he continued.
"I miss you huh? He would never said that", she replied cheekily.
Suddenly, an acquantaince of her appeared. He just stared at her until she recognised him, she said hi, awkwardly. He is her ex-schoolmate. Both of them had no idea of meeting that day.
Then, there came the boyfriend's acquantaince, his coworker. The man came with his families, greeted us. She just stood there, awkwardly. Dunno what to do, what to say, she remained silent.
He went to the next table and sit with his coworker, having a chit chat, she thought.
He left her alone, she tried to finish his meals as he said he was full already. She slowly chewed the chocolate brownies.
Then, he went back to her.
"I'm going to take away a slice for my mum", she stood and wanted to survey the cakes.
He handed her a note bank, "go and pay, I'm too weak to pay by myself. I treat you tonight"
"Where are we going after this?", she asked him.
"Where would you like to go?", he asked her back.
"IDK, maybe just around the city", she shrugged.
"OK. You drive", he replied.
"I'm too weak to drive, I'm sorry. Let's go take a round the city", he added.
They went to her car, she started getting nervous. That was her first time driving with him.
He confronted him and asked her to cool down.
She drove slowly as asked, didn't forget the signal and all.
"C'mon judge my driving", she gave him order.
He just gave directions and kept asking her to drive slowly. He complimented her driving too.
We stopped at the beach. We walked around the beach with the night scene.
"Later, we shall watch movie together", he said.
"If only we have time, this is the last month that I gotta see you", she replied.
But he acted like they aren't going to separate.
She told him about her mum, daydreaming to live by the sea side, and her dream to have her wedding ceremony on a cruise.
"You should find a rich man"
"Well, it's just a dream"
Then, he asked her to send him a photo of her home, she wondered why.
They dated before, but she felt difference. She felt like it was really a date. And she is quite happy and thankful to have him.
